It has just been reported that Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie has been kicked off of the NFC Pro Bowl team, because he missed practice on Friday and Saturday. Personally, I think this is ridiculous.
Can the NFL and Roger Goodell relax a little and realize that nobody, including the players care about the Pro Bowl. Yes, everyone likes to get recognition for having a good season, so they all like to be selected to the Pro Bowl roster but nobody cares about the actual game.
I just think that it is a shame that someone like McKinnie who had a great year is being punished because he missed two practices for a game that does not matter one bit. Can the NFL start to use some common sense when it comes to making decisions. I mean this is a guy who was a major part of a Vikings team who just a week ago lost out on a chance to go to the Super Bowl in one of the most devastating losses in recent memory. The NFL should be happy that he decided to play in the game at all, after so many others decided to decline the invite. For Sports events visit www.sportevents.com
But they decided to continue their stubborn ways and kick him off the team, and if that wasn’t enough they have also said that he is subject to a fine. Overall just a classless decision by the NFL. Every time they make a new decision, they just enhance their image as the No Fun League. For more detail s about various sport Events visit sportevents.com
